Barbara Smith has been an occupational therapist for over twenty

years. She has worked with developmentally disabled children and

adults in schools, institutions, group homes and day programs to

 maximize functional skills. When her mother began displaying

symptoms of Alzheimer’s disease, Barbara put her experience and

creativity to work. This book is the result of what she learned after

eight years of helping and enjoying her mother.
