activities and
support. A short
annotated bibliography will provide
other perspectives such as what it is like
to be married to an Alzheimer’s
disease victim.
As a daughter and writer I will share
with you the adventure of
kidnapping a dangerously confused, but strong-willed
widow to relocate
and subject her to the new routines of institutional living.
You will get to
know quite a bit about my mother, Sarah. For every
victim,
there is first and
foremost an individual. I will share with you what I have
done to help my
mother so that you may customize care for your own loved and
unique
individual.
You will read a
few
jokes in this
book- because, after all, sometimes
all we can do to cope is laugh. This effort
has been a labor of love and
another exercise of creativity, as this
middle
aged daughter goes though
the repeated cycle of parental love and loss.
